Dear all,

I wanted to share with you the steps on how to track your package when it is sent from National Visa Center (NVC) to US Embassy in Kingston. This actually works for any destination country, but since my interest is in Jamaica, here it is.

  1. Contact NVC (603) 334-0700 (You should have your NVC case# each time you contact them, if you do not have it, ask them for it by giving them your USCIS receipt number)
  2. Ask the NVC the exact date your case was sent to Kingston (You will need this date to enter as reference for DHL tracking)
  3. Go to DHL website and track by reference http://www.dhl.com/en/express/tracking/shippers_reference.html
  4. Enter the following as shippers reference:
EXP __(2 digit day) ___(3 letter month) 2016A
Example for August 30th it should be: EXP 30 AUG 2016A
  5. Enter a date range (usually 2 days before ship date and 2 days after)
  6. Select "Jamaica" as Shipment destination
  7. Track
  8. Results will appear with airway bill details
  9. See attachment to view image

This was very helpful for me in order to expedite process and get interview quicker. Once I confirmed the case was received in Kingston. I moved forward with completing the DS-160, registering for the website to pay the interview fee, select DHL Location, and schedule my fiance's interview.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!!

Melissa.

Thank you for this information. Our case was just approved yesterday so in two weeks I should be able to call the NVC and get our case number.

Hi I made the call feelings got sad the customer service guy was really nice after being on hold for 35 min. I was told my case hasn't been sent to Jamaica yet.

But at least he gave me my NVC #. We been approved since August 31, 2016. He even gave me the id#. Until my fiancé receives the email with instructions, I will prepare to send him my taxes, check stubs, affidavit of support, and complete the ds160. Another long weekend, but it will be greater later.
