Our (my-hehe--) compromise on what to send with N-400

So....I took what those of you who voiced an opinion to my earlier thread to heart (this website ROCKS!) and we have decided NOT to essentially send the entire ROC package with additions reflecting year three of our marriage. Instead, we are sending the following, much smaller, packet (with some additions for year three!) For what it is worth, we know that "Letter H" is pretty much useless, but it goes in under the category of "if you don't ask then the answer is always 'no'." Any and all comments are welcome...the packet goes out Monday or Tuesday.

RE: N-400 Application for Naturalization (Spouse of U.S. Citizen)

Dear USCIS examiner:


Enclosed please find my N-400 Application for Naturalization. I am applying based on three years as a lawful permanent resident married to my U.S. Citizen spouse. Responses on the N-400 form represent my three years as an LPR in the United States.

Enclosed also please find the following required documents as well as documents to verify the status of our marriage and ongoing relationship:

A—Form G-1145
B—Check for $680.00 made out to the Department of Homeland Security for the application fee and biometrics drawn from our joint bank account
B—The Completed and signed N-400 Application and addendum.
C—Front and Back of my Permanent Green Card
D—Two passport size photos with my A# written in pencil on the back
E—Evidence that my Spouse has been a U.S. Citizen for the last three years: Copy of his birth certificate
F—Evidence that my Spouse has been a U.S. Citizen for the last three years: Copy of his current passport
G—Evidence of our marriage and on-going relationship
1) Certified copy of our marriage certificate
2) 2013, 2014 and 2015 Tax Transcripts showing Joint Married Filing
3) Joint bank account statements spanning from August 2015 to August 2016 (samples—not every statement—Supplement to bank account statements sent as part of ROC application)
4) Joint investment statement (Started 2/2015) Updated 8/30/2016
5) Most recent mortgage/home equity line of credit statement showing joint ownership of our condominium
H—Letter to the Honolulu Field Office requesting a Wednesday Biometrics appointment if possible.


You may feel free to inquire at any of the sources of enclosed documentation for validity of their statements, and you are always welcome to visit our home should you ever desire to do so. Please advise me if you have any further questions or problems related to this petition.

However a question, on the N400 form, did you provide work, employment, residence history for all the 5 years, or just the 3 years ?

if just for the 3 years, did you cut out th enumber 5 and marked it 3 and did it ?

Thanks. Life happened and we will probably file this week. Might not be a bad idea to cross out 5 and write in 3.
