They probably won't give you the stamp yet. Your GC expired Dec 18th 2016, that means your extension letter is valid till Dec 18th 2017. I think you can get the info pass appt a month before that, which in this case would be Nov 18th. Please correct me if that's not correct.

Hi all, we had our InfoPass appointment this afternoon and were able to get the I-551 stamp in my husband's passport. His GC expires 10/29 and we were prepared to be asked about his need to travel and whether it was an emergency but we weren't. The stamp gives one year extension from today, not GC expiration date. Hope that helps! 

05/14: We were married!!

06/04/14: Finally marriage license was recorded & we got a copy

06/05/14: AOS package mailed via Fed Ex overnight to USCIS Chicago Lockbox

06/06/14: (Day 00) Confirmation of delivery & receipt date recorded by USCIS

06/11/14: (Day 05) NOA 1 Hard copy of receipt received

06/13/14: (Day 07) Form I-797C received, Biometrics appointment scheduled for July 8

07/01/14: RFE for co-sponsor salary and tax info, which was already sent with original package. Resent a copy on 07/08/14.

07/08/14: (Day 32) Biometrics appt.

08/10/14: (Day 65) Noticed that USCIS status has changed from Initial Review to Testing & Interview!

08/21/14: (Day 76) Received EAD/AP in the mail!

09/25/14: (Day 111) Email notice with interview date set for OCT. 29!

10/29/14: (Day 145) Interview day - APPROVED!!!

09/21/16: Mailed in I-751 Removal of Conditions

10/14/16: Biometrics appointment

8/8/17: Mailed N-400 Naturalization Application

8/15/17: USCIS texted that they've received N-400

9/8/17: Scheduled for biometrics 

10/11/17: In Line to be Scheduled for N-400 Interview

Hi everyone!

I just got approval letter yesterday!!

Online still hasn't been updated yet and says "Case was received" tho😑

 

FYI, I'm VSC filer. NOA date was Sep 13, 2016.

biometrics was Oct 20, 2016.

Approval date was Aug 9, 2017.

now waiting for GC to be delivered💌

 

I was helped by this website in a lot of ways and I hope this info also helps and giving everyone a hope…

I hope everyone get approval soon:rolleyes:

So I just called uscis for the first time since I filed last year. The rep told me that they working on July 2016 filers. So two months time I should hear something and if I don't hear anything by then I should call. I filed at VSC, this is crazy.

We know from reading this thread that is true and untrue at the same time.

I assume the rep said 'July 2016' because there are still cases in July 2016 being adjudicated. However, many VSC Sept Filers have been approved, so it may not be as long as two months.

Yes they took the physical green card and the extension letter we brought with us. They said that the I-551 stamp overrides those others and is the current legal residency evidence.

Oh also we think asking about the status of the N-400 triggered the computer system to send us the receipt email and text because we got that right after we left the service center. That doesn't have anything to do with the I-751 process, but thought I'd include that because I thought it was interesting.

Hi Everyone,

 

I was entertaining myself and prepared a forecast of processing timelines for different scenarios. You can see the expected date of adjudicating your case depending on how fast USCIS will continue processing I-751. Let's say now that we know they steadily move with the speed 5 days per each month and if they continue doing so, September filers should expect their cases adjudicated starting only around September 2018. If USCIS suddenly starts processing 10 days per each month (which seems just a miracle at the moment), September filers will start being looked into around February of 2018. Finally, if something extraordinary happens and USCIS speeds up to 20 days per month we will start getting our green cards around October 2017. Now the question is how likely that CSC will speed up from 5 to 20 days per month? Unfortunately this is reality.
