Hey guys im new here.

Ive few queries.

1: how long the visa is valid to travel for us for cr1?

I heard somewhere its reduced to three months or less.

2: how long the medical report is valid?

I have my med done in may and interviewed in june.

3: how long does it take to process after sending additional required doc. I.e AOS?

Waiting for the answers.

1. The visa will be valid for 6 months from the date of the medical. The expiry will be printed on the visa.

2. Medical is good for a year, but the TB test (x-ray or sputum) is only good for 6 months, so practically speaking, it's only 6 months (hence the visa validity only being for that length of time).

3. AOS takes a few months, but the EAD and AP (the bits you need to actually DO stuff like work and travel) take about 3 months. However, as an IR/CR-1 visa holder, there will be no AoS, as you will be granted a green card immediately upon entering the USA - the green card allows you to work and travel, and no further paperwork is required (unless you are CR-1, in which case you will do Removal of Conditions just under 2 years after entering the USA).

I think when he said AOS he means affidavit of support as he is on the CR-1 path and his other thread he mentions he was asked for a joint sponsor at the interview.

If the sponsor papers were the only thing holding the visa issuance up, 2-3 weeks is the usual processing time, and then another 1-2 weeks for the visa to be printed and sent to you. Keep in mind that beneficiaries from Pakistan often get AP (additional processing for security reasons) after the interview too.
