We received our second form from USCIS 5.2 weeks ago saying our case was approved. Today, we received an email from the Embassy in Venezuela about my fiance making her interview appointment. However, I still have had no correspondence from NVC. I filled out the form on "Ask NVC" on Friday, August 15 but no response yet (I honestly did not an expect a response yet anyway).

Is it normal to hear from the Embassy first before getting anything from NVC? Should I contact NVC? Is this something to worry about? It's been 40 days since our case was approved.

Thanks for any help.

All you need from NVC is your case number. The embassy now has it, get it from them and proceed on.

And please complete your profile and :time: . It's helpful when you have questions, especially now that your at the embassy phase. I don't even know what type of visa your going for, but I assume a K1 since you mentioned fiance.
