Hello. Last July 8, we had our interview. And I was given a 221g letter because I wasn't able to present my police clearance. But on the 12'th the embassy got my police clearance already. Does anyone know or estimate on how long will the process take? My daughter's status is also on ' Ready ' and she's been delayed and won't enter school this year.

You daughter can start school even though she comes in a little late.

Her status will change when yours does.

If it was yesterday they got it then give it next week and hopefully it will change there.

yes, familys move all the time and enter different schools

what you will need for her are her birth certificate and Enlish translation

and school records of current country

and the biological parent, meaning you will have to prove your local US address

this is in most school districts now as so many children are abducted and school districts have to be careful that the cousdial parent has the child

she will be fine just encourage her that she will make many new freinds while guiding her to watch out for the idiots

After they receive your materials in answering the 221(g) it normally takes an additional 2-3 weeks but it can vary. Entering school late is not a problem. My son arrived in Dec and just after the holidays he started school. Hi loves school here and has made many friends.

I agree with what you will need to enroll him with the school district.
