Hi VJ members! I had my interview today and got approved! Yay! Thanks to everyone who has been very helpful. Next step is wedding planning. So we will have civil wedding within 90 days, then we will have wedding ceremony in my home country. We are targeting December 2017 for the ceremony. I'm not really sure if it's a valid reason for advance parole. Or is it only used for emergency purposes? What are the chances of it getting denied? Or is it better to wait for green card? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks :)

You don't need any reason while filing for AP along with i485 and it will get approved. You will likely have GC by that time anyway if you file for AOS soon after marriage.

AP can be used for any number of reasons. Like others said your timeline will allow a GC if you keep moving your progress along. File your AOS as soon as you can. Having the GC gives you freedom to travel without worries.
