Hotels/AirBNB recommendations for Montreal Embassy?

Many of us have received our interview dates today and I'm sure many of us are wondering where to stay!

I've personally never used Airbnb and my interview falls on a Monday so I will be required to stay a week in Montreal - I'd love to know who loved their stays at a reasonable price ($150 or less a night) that's close to the embassy!

Oh man, I got in touch with some people from AirBNB and the parking situation is overall bad in Old Montreal.

So then I found myself on hotels.com to try and find a hotel during my dates and as I was looking, they were slowly selling out before my eyes!

I found a hotel about a 15 min walk from the hotel, $1800 for a 7 night stay, with valet parking (we're thinking of driving down instead of flying after seeing the costs of hotels)

Also try booking.com

Parking has been terrible there for decades.

Why do you need to stay a week? Making a vacation out of it?

I wish I didn't, but my interview is on a Monday and the medical needs 3 business days to process and then I need to pick it up a day that isn't my interview (in the afternoon). Therefore I am arriving the day before my medical, and then leaving the same day as my interview.

Airbnb is much cheaper and excellent

we stayed there for 50 per night near downtown montreal for medical and interview and then moved to a $25 per night near the airport since purolator location was near the airport and would be easier to just get the passport and head straight to the airport

I will also have to stay in Montreal for a week to get the medical done before the interview. I've never used Airbnb but I think I'm going to try it out since it's much cheaper than a hotel. This is one that I found that looks nice. https://www.airbnb.ca/rooms/6805919?s=TXVBWOfN

It's $40/night plus a weekly discount of 19%.

Let me know what you've found so we can compare!

I'm still waiting to get an interview date :crying:
