I have noticed that most of the people come here to find answers. I want to celebrate and thank to those who answered my questions when I needed help.

As of August 2nd 2016 we (my husband, I, and our two daughters) are American Citizens.

Who else is celebrating or still treasuring their citizenship journey?RTX11BDV.jpg

December 1st 2007 - applied for DV Lottery

May 5th 2008 received - the first envelope - DV Visa Winners

November 16th 2008 - Interview (I was 32 weeks pregnant)

January 15th 2009 - had the baby (the second child)

March 31st 2009 - landed in Chicago with a 2 months old baby born as a permanent resident She only had her Romanian passport, no visa.

December 28th 2015 - sent the N-400 form for my husband and I

January 19th in Waukegan, IL - biometrics done (appointment was for 27th but we went there with the appointment paper and all was good).

Congratulations.

I "citizened" last month. I registered to vote yesterday when I applied for a new drivers license.

I love my brand new passport... looking forward to taking my two birds (the Egyptian passport also has an eagle on the cover) on a trip in a few weeks!
