@Qutza

Having an IOE number is one the worst things that could have happened to anyone applying for Naturalization. This is due to the failure of the new ELIS system that USCIS implemented to process everything "electronically" and didn't work out as expected.

AFAIK there's a period between April and August when all the N400 filers got an IOE number, which meant they would be processed under the new ELIS system. As you might have heard, the issues created a backlog and it goes from bad to worst depending on your Field Office, there are people that filed in late April that are barely getting their appointments scheduled in October.

For comparison people that have NBC numbers that filed in September are already in line for interview, this again depends on the Field Office, your back ground and the alignment of the stars and the moon the day you were born .... anyhow... just venting a little bit.

oh no.... well shoot....

@Kamex009 feel free to vent; it's one reason we all have this forum. Helps to let the annoyance out, and pass the time a bit.

How long do you need to wait before you file an InfoPass to give them an *ahem* polite nudge to pick your files up? Is there a specific number of days/months that need to pass before you can file one? I just wish I could send USCIS an RFE! :rofl:

A long while.

You can look at processing time averages published by USCIS, and unless your submission date is long before the current date they say they're processing, they don't want to hear from you at an infopass.

For example, my local service centre (San Francisco) currently states it's processing N-400s submitted in January 2016. Oakland Park, FL currently states 5 months for processing.

16th July 2013 - Interview (approved)
30th July 2013 - POE San Francisco
29th August 2013 - 2 year green card arrived

* How? Read my DCF London I-130 for CR1/IR1 Spouse Guide

* Removal of Conditions (RoC) via California Service Centre
1st May 2015 - 90 day RoC window opened
6th May 2015 - I-751 filed (delivered 8th May, cheque cashed 18th May)
7th August 2015 - Approved / GC production

27th August 2015 - 10 year green card arrived

* Naturalisation (Citizenship) via Phoenix Lockbox

* San Francisco Field Office:
1st May 2016 - N-400 window opened
20th August 2016 - N-400 filed

26th August 2016 - NOA1
13th September 2016 - Biometrics

I would not follow what their processing data shows. It is simply wrong. The page has not been updated since July 31, 2016. And they state on the same page they update the info monthly....blah blah blah

The DO update that page monthly; it's the data they provide that's always two months behind, so when it's updated again, it's possibly gonna say "as of August 31."

it is not about the data they provide. It says when they last undated the page. I looked in August, then in Sept, now Oct. It still says as of July 31, 2016 which means that the data that is currently provided as of July 31, 2016, not as of Oct. Plain and simple the info is outdated even though they specify that they update this page every month (around the 15th of each month).

The info on that webpage was never up to date, whenever they update it each month, the "new" info is always about two months behind...

Going back to the reason why we're talking about this: whenever you inquire about your case with USCIS, they will always judge the situation based on whether or not the case is winthin their posted processing timeframe. We filed in August, so why would USCIS humor any request from us when you all know people who filed in April and May are still waiting for an interview?

yes, I see that the page is updated at the bottom. But information about processing time is still dated back to July 31 in the table, or do I not understand something right? My understanding is that on July 31, they were processing the applications of those who filed in Jan. They have not updated the info. I am looking at Washington DC field office. I believe they are processing April now, if you look at the April filters on visajourney, they are getting interviews scheduled.

OK just now the table shows updates. Today earlier it still didn't. So at the end of August my office were processing Feb filers. Well, 5-6 months.
