My 400 has been in line for interview since 9/28. 751? I don't even think about it anymore because I think CSC will just skip my 751 to be combined with 400. If you apply on line and you get a super fast interview date, we might be adjudicated and naturalized at the same time,lol. That is how messed up CSC is this year. Your applying on line might just save you 7 or 8 months of waiting for the interview date for 400. Oyi

It depends on the field office.  :whistle:  For example, no difference at the Seattle office as of now.   :clock:

Yeah, that's right Austin. I was looking at Portland Field office processing timeline the other day they take about 6 to 7 months on average to process N-400. I wonder if online filing would be any different or the same but I like the online filing it is pretty convenient. How you doing? did you file N-400? Take care, Regards

Hope I made the update to the table correctly, had to add myself in, but got notification today that the new card is in the mail. First time we heard from them since Biometrics. Guess we got lucky.

Congrats. Wow, you filed 400, is that correct? That is significant because you are the first 400 filer who got 751 approved. Your field office is in Los Angeles like mine. Did you file 400 on line or on paper? Your NOA is exactly the same as mine, that gives me hope.

Interesting. US/UKHUBBY I believe is the first CSC 751 August filer getting a 751 approval while 400 is pending, but it may or may not be significant for those of us who have dual pending applications about the 751 approval because US/UKHUBBY just filed his or her 400 last week and his 400 NOA date is exactly the same as his 751 approval date  which probably means they probably approved his 751 before they found out he had applied for 400. If they found out he applied for 400 before they adjudicated his or her 751, they would have delayed his/her 751. Wow, lucky guy/girl. At least it seems like CSC has started working on August piles. Good news overall.

Correct, we filed N400 via paper to the Arizona address on 10/28. We received the N400 NOA letter today dated 10/31. Also received a letter from them with N400 online account details. We then setup the USCIS account and saw a letter generated today that gives us a biometric appointment date.

 

Is it unusual for this to happen? N400 and I751 are handled by different parts of USCIS, correct?

 I fixed our timeline, based on the dates on all these letters. 

 

PS: I'm the US Citizen husband, my wife is the immigrant on her way to citizenship.

Wow, my hope is raised again. Yes, based on July and June filers who filed 400 while 751 is pending, your approval is highly unusual because usually when CSC finds out when a 751 applicant applied for 400 prior to the 751 adjudication, according to the trend and anecdotal evidence, they usually will postpone the 751 adjudication and will just do a combo adjudication down the road at the 400 interview. Not one July or June 751 filers with 400 pending has been 751 approved. Since they received your 400 on 10/31, they obviously didn't postpone your 751 adjudication and just went ahead and approved your 751 knowing had already submitted 400. My field office is also in Los Angeles, that gives me a bit hope that it could happen to me as well when I actually get a 751 approval before 400, and we have the exact same 751 NOA date. Congrats, I will see how it plays out even though I have literally conceded to the possibility that I won't get a 751 approval until the 400 interview.
