No I-797c, no NVC letter, is it hopeless?

Much to my dismay it appears that my fiancé has misplaced both the I-797c (NOA2) I had sent him for his interview as well as the packet he was sent from the NVC after the I-129f had been approved.

I had read in other threads that there had been people approved without the I-797c by sending in photocopies of the NVC letter their finances recieved as well as screenshots of approves case statuses and such, but since the NVC letter is lost as well I am limited in that manner.

Does anyone have a suggested course of action? I know I can order a new copy by filing a form and paying $405 and waiting a few months but I am hoping to use that as a last resort. I figure I should still file my AOS paperwork without that, since things have been slow and I probably won't get the RFE for a few months and could possibly have the EAD and AP card approved to help with costs.

Any help at all would be appreciated..

Did you send him the original NOA2? You should've kept it and sent him a copy.. If you did send a copy, take a new copy of the NOA2 and email it to him.

I don't know how the embassy in London works but I know we don't need the NOA2 on the embassy here in Sweden. We will need it for the AOS later on though, so you do need it.

EDIT: Noticed you're already at the AOS stage. I think you need to request a new one.

Yeah.. I don't think he ended up needing the NOA2 anyways. I read somewhere it was good to send along, but he was never asked for it and still ended up losing it. it's my fault for sending the original and not a copy though.

Update:

I did just locate a letter addressed to me (USC) letting me know that reads:

"Dear *****

The National Visa Center (NVC) recieved your fiancé's approved I-129F petition from USCIS. The NVC will now forward the petition to the US Embassy or Consulate in LONDON. Please note that the transfer process can take several weeks. The Embassy or consulate will contact your fiancé when they are ready to process his or her petition.

It also lists out LND number, the WAC petition case number and me and my fiancé's full names.

I'm thinking this can be helpful??

Yeah I am thinking - praying, hoping rather - that a screenshot of that combined with the letter I just found, any and all emails that my fiancé and I recieved during the process, and a copy of our NOA-1 may be enough? Edited July 24, 2016 by MorganandMichael

It will. Make a copy of the letter in your last post, screenshot, and you'll be good to go. If you signed up for the email updates on your case and you still have the email approval, I'd add that too.
