The word disproportionate was in the very first line and was the thesis statement of the story you posted.

But please tell me more about what I don't understand.

You just crashed into the muddy left ditch with blindfolds on.

I see flames of understanding from you, then BAM, you fall off the cliff.

That was op ed . I will help you. More whites are shot by police every year than blacks.

And yet knowing this, why aren't white people taking to the streets and protesting?

Black men also commit a disproportionate amount of violent crime, equal to about or greater of the stat you pointed out. Oddly enough people claim you are racist when that is pointed out. So a basic understanding of statistics would make one understand the disproportionate number shot by police parallels then disproportionate amount of violent crime they commit.

Odd here how disproportionate is a racist word until it's used to make blacks victims.

In 3 categories, the other 27 are lead by white men. Yet, white collar criminals aren't shot for robbing folks for millions of dollars. White fathers aren't mistaken for pedophiles.

It's really funny how this line of black folks commit more crime is so inaccurate but used to justify when one of us gets killed by the police for some mundane crime(in some cases, nothing at all) but when a white man goes and shoots up a theater, they literally give him ample time to surrender and make sure the cuffs aren't on too tight.

ah, thanks for the clarification. you don't understand the issue at hand. got it. let's spare the broken record though. your response to a specific murder is to justify it with the 'black people commit crime so accept a bit of collateral damage' defense. want to talk about people in positions of authority being accountable to the law? i do.

White people as a whole don't want to talk about this for two reasons:

1. Most have the mindset that as long as they don't break the law, they're safe from any kind of bad treatment. That's why it's so funny to see members here point out more white people suffer from PB than anyone else, but they absolutely refuse to do anything about it because as long as they aren't a victim of it, they're cool turning a blind eye.

2. No one wants to admit that black people have been right all this time.

you have to take the thesis statement in context with the entire piece, which i can't post. i left the link. i dont see how ive fallen off any cliff. i said you don't understand because that's the only way i can rationalize-to myself-how people can justify the death of a person simply because their death was at the hands of police/black = must've had it coming. police can't just sit on people and shoot them point blank.

They can if you're black...

What part of "unarmed" did you not understand? Why does police need to shoot and kill unarmed men? And why do they feel the need to shoot and kill unarmed men of color at a vastly disproportionate rate?

Point 1.

Because we dont burn our cities down and use it as an excuse to rob and pillage, when a criminal gets killed for trying to assassinate a police officer. We also don't have the long history of police dogs and water hoses and people disappearing into earthen damns in the middle of the night that black people have. Its a 2 edge sword but the race baiters only approach one angle and keeps them in business.

2. 27 other categories. Adjust them proportionately and get back with me. Once again you want to do direct representation when it suits the narrative and proportion when it does not.

3. we have done this 100 times. See the other 100 times I proved your wrong

Now get out of my boat

It happens at the same proportional rate for white and black based on the amount of crime they commit.

Just for the record I don't support police abuse against anyone, and I admit it's out there

Lets talk about Mike Brown. Tried to take a cops gun away and kill him with it. Got dead in the process. Evidence fully supported what happened. The guy with the whole hands up story was a another criminal who had been arrested before for giving false statements to the police. If he had been white, white folks would have said he got what he deserved same as if he was black. Black folks built him a monument and burned their city down.

This what you posted you wanted to talk about

You--"since we're on the topic of disproportionate application of justice in this country... "

then you criticize me for talking about that instead of about the person killed. Then told me I don't understand. LOL

Its ok Val I still like you.

I got on my desktop and looked this over.

I am skeptical because so many times we here this and then when the rest of the story comes out, it's oh never mind like in Mike Brown. However !!

Based on what I could see in the video and the fact that I did see the cop pull the gun out of his pocket, I must admit it is not good.

My question. If the cops have you on the ground why do this idiots continue to fight and struggle. When you fight the police it is usually going to end badly for you. Cops are human and have adrenaline and emotion. I just want to see more evidence.

In cases like Walter Scott of South Carolina. Yup cop was and should be charged with Murder.

This guy was not unarmed. He was called in for threatening someone with a gun, was found carrying a gun, was out in the street selling illegal CD's, and after 20 years of crime finally got himself shot by the police.

He was nothing but a street predator whose embrace and practice of crime and violence finally caught up to him.

It’s unclear how Sterling obtained the weapon. His rap sheet dates back two decades with several drug, firearm, theft and assault arrests. He was sentenced to five years to prison for marijuana and weapon possession in 2009, the Advocate reported.

As long as the black community continues to support and stand by these people nothing will change. Pretending that the police are out hunting black people and shoot on sight after this guy was in and out of the criminal "justice" system for drugs and assault and weapons charges for 20 years is as stupid as it comes. It figures that obama's "justice" department will circle their wagons around this piece of trash. This dude had years and years to get out of that life and it finally caught up with him.

My guess is we're looking at yet another tempest in a teacup(not that the other ones were recognized as such by some even once they became obvious).

It's hard to see what's happening in most of the video. However what we can see is that he didn't seem to want to cooperate. Not before they were forced to tackle him(due to him not complying), and not during. Then you see them trying to control him but it's hard to see what he was doing while he was fighting them. Was he trying to reach his gun? We don't know. Immediately afterwards one of the officers called for ems code 3. People that execute people don't try to get them urgent medical help.

Bottom line - don't break the law on a daily basis, and cops will usually leave you alone.

Seems he quite safely and happily pulled off actually breaking the law for over 20 years and seems to have survived numerous contacts with the police.

Sort of makes me wonder about this accusation that trigger happy police are just patrolling the streets waiting for a black person to do something wrong so they can shoot them. Actually I don't wonder. These guys are in and out of the system for decades and freely do it unpunished and unbothered. Nice gold grill. Wonder how many meals his 5 kids by 3 women missed so he could buy it.
