Hey I am unemployed and don't even have unemployment... I'm a student but have taken a break last 2 semesters my dad is my sponsor and I got no problem getting approved. My dad makes well over the required income and had absolutely no problems and My fiancée will take all his irs transcripts and paperwork etc day of interview.

He's from England. How can I find out if they allow or not?

That'll be fine. There are a few countries, notably the Philippines that have been picky about the issue in the past.

I hadn't worked in years before our visa was granted and haven't worked in the 3+ years since. My mother was a joint sponsor and that wasn't any issue at all.

Your parent or parents must meet the income guidelines for the appropriate family size plus the immigrant. Keep that in mind.
