AP Form I-131

Hi good day to all of you!

We're starting to get ready for my papers here after we got married but currently waiting for our marriage certificate. I have question on Form I-131 part 3 processing information, the date of intended departure and expected length of trio in days. We're planning to visit Philippines to visit my family and relatives in maybe 3 years from now. So is that fine to write like 2019 in the form and like 20 days length of trip? Cause I wanna work first here before we travel cause I need to save more money so I have something for my family when we visit them sooner or later.

And the purpose of trip is? Is that fine to write just to visit family and relatives? I read in the USCIS page that for humanitarian reason only? And the how many trip do you intend to use this document?

You are about to adjust status?

You can write "To be determined" (TBD) for dates and the purpose can be for visiting family and friends.

But if your next planned trip isn't until 2019 then you shouldn't worry about specifying the exact travel dates. You should have your Green Card in a few months. Once you have your GC you no long need your AP. So it is likely you will not be using your AP in 2019.

You can put "unknown" for travel dates. No attachment needed to explain why where and when you want to travel.

Put Unknown or N/A. And you never need to give a reason anywhere for why you need/want AP as an adjustment applicant. Also, you will not be in need of using AP 3 years from now. You will be a permanent resident by then, and may already have your 10 year green card(or be in the process of) by that time, depending on fast your AOS and ROC go.

Yes I'm about to adjust my status here but still waiting for our marriage certificate. We will file AOS, EAD and AP. I'm just thinking now if I need to file AP together with the other forms if I don't have plan yet to come outside USA.

It's best to just go ahead and file it because you never know if or when an emergency with family in your country arises and you wished

you could travel.
