So my fiancé who lives currently in Okinawa Japan brought up the idea of coming to visit for 80 days (to be sure not to overstay) while we wait for the K-1 to be approved. I have asked now two times on different trips with immigration if she could visit and each time they said up to 90 days on a ESTA. If she did this she would move back home with her mom and dad in Ishigaki Japan. So my question is in the visa paperwork her address is in Okinawa. Is it possible to update that address? Will this update further delay the process? Has anyone had their fiancé come an visit for extended periods of time while waiting?

Many people visits doing this process both shorter and longer visits without problems.

I moved before we were done with all this but the only mail I got was the package with the visa's and I just wrote the new address on the envelope at the embassy interview.

BUT this can be different for your country but it really shouldn't be a problem moving.

Not sure if this helps, but we had to change our address while waiting for the green card and didn't notice any delay. I can't imagine that it would cause some big delay in processing.

EDIT: Forgot to specify that yes, we used the site to file the address change electronically.
