If I could at least understand why, maybe that would help...

But really. I keep thinking hold on, be hopeful and patient. I keep saying that. Most days I wake up and check our case thinking today is the day!

Then I see other people didn't wait at all and they are with their loved one almost right after the interview, and that's when my heart breaks.

The waiting will make us stronger in our love. And one day soon we won't be waiting.

Have to remind myself there is an end to being apart just around the corner.

Just wondering did the embassy keep the beneficiaries passport in your cases?

They have my fiancés passport.

We might see about getting it back if they are going to make us wait for over 6 months. (we are at just over 3 months now)

yes they have mine,

but still no updates by itself it's only updated when I make any inquiry.

We are at 101 days.

We haven't had any updates to our case. The only one was on the day of the interview.

Even with my congressperson making an inquiry that didn't make an update to our case.

My emails to the embassy too haven't created an update.

Looks like Jissa had updates. Jissa do you think only the update from Jan 20th was due to an inquiry?

The others were from something else yes? (records search that kind of thing)

We had update yesterday, but nothing today.

Question, does Cairo embassy work on Saturdays?

Interview: Oct 26th 2015

AP: Oct 26th 2015

Update: Oct 27th 2015

Update: Jan 20th 2016 (Congressman Inquiry)

Update: Jan 31st 2016

Update: Feb 1st 2016

Update: Jun 18th 2016

Yes, they kept my husband's passport, and it has been almost 7 months.

I have heard is not a good thing to request the passport back. It can delay the process even more.

Halalbrother,

My only update with inquiry was on january 20th, all other were updated without inquiry.

I took Nathasa's advice and I am not involving congress or senate, because there is nothing they can do.I even think it bothers embassy.

Yes dillygoose,

You are correct. Only one inquiry. All the others were by embassy working on case, I think.
