Current NVC email response times/Waiting for interview

Hey folks.

I tried eyeballing the stats on here but I can't quite make sense of them, so forgive me if this is already answered by other means.

I finally got all the forms needed to apply for an IR-1 interview in Sydney, Australia (I'm headed to Texas), and sent them to the NVC on Fri 3rd June (so only a few days ago). I'm a little paranoid because I've had a few issues with emails I've apparently sent not being received (by other people) so I just wondered what the current response time is (to notify me they've received my email - I see the NVC site currently states 30 days to process things).

I've got my fingers crossed it won't be ages, because everything else with the NVC thus far has been much quicker than they claim - although it's taken a couple of months longer than it should have to get to this point (waiting for my wife to get all the forms) so maybe the NVC are now super busy...? We started the whole process in earnest on 25th September last year and I haven't seen my missus since the end of October, so I'm really, really hoping this home stretch rockets past!

Any info is much appreciated!

I never received a confirmation email from NVC the first time I emailed everything in...I actually rang a few days after sending to see if they received, because I hadn't heard whether they had or not, and they had. The second time round when I had to send in the RFE documents I got a confirmation email a few hours later. :)

15/09/2012 - Married ?
Spent the last 2.5 years travelling between countries & deciding on where we are going to live...USA IT IS!!! ??
28/09/2015 - I-130 submitted
06/10/2015 - NOA 1 received
04/02/2016 - Approved! NOA 2 received via text
17/02/2016 - Petition sent to NVC
24/02/2016 - NVC received
08/03/2016 - Case number & IIN number received over the phone
09/03/2016 - Form DS-261 completed
09/03/2016 - AOS Fee paid
18/03/2016 - Received and paid IV Bill
22/03/2016 - Sent AOS & IV Documents
24/03/2016 - Scan date
08/04/2016 - Received RFE - apparently I didn't send I-864 form (as if I would forget that!) and police certificate (admittedly I sent the wrong one?)
18/04/2016 - Resent required documents (had to wait a week for new police certificate)
20/04/2016 - 2nd scan date for RFE documents
09/05/2016 - Case Completed ? (Now just waiting for interview date!!!)
26/05/2016 - Received Interview letter via email, interview scheduled for 26/07/2016 ??

Cheers for the replies!

kris&me, it's my understanding both parties involved receive email notifications - this has certainly been the case so far. Are you saying the NVC have now changed it a bit, so they'll now only contact the applicant (in this case, my wife)?

YES!!! Interview is booked lol...it's the last stretch thank god!! and thank you! :dancing: As for receiving emails from NVC, both my husband and myself have received all correspondence from them, including the interview letter, so I don't think that has changed, unless you have nominated for just one person to receive them.

Emails from NVC are a hit or miss. I received an email from them a week after I submitted my AOS and IV packages. when I got a checklist I got an email. When I sent them the documents for that checklist, I didn't get an email saying they received it.

The best thing to do is call and confirm they received it.

N-400/Citizenship process:

Applied online: 9/06/2020

NOA1 received: 9/07/2020

Biometric: reuse letter received 1/19/2021

Interview: 5/12/2021 - APPROVED!!! 😃

Oath Ceremony: 6/04/2021

ROC process:

Mailed I-751 petition package: 4/6/2018

USPS delivered I-751: 4/9/2018

Check cashed: 5/24/2018

NOA received: 5/26/2018

Biometric letter received: 3/1/2019; Biometric Appt: 3/11/2019

Case Transfer letter received: 3/11/2019

Online Status changes: Card being produced- 5/24/2019; case is approved - 5/28/2019; Card is mailed - 5/29/2019; USPS picked up for delivery - 5/30/2019 (ETA 6/1/2019)

Approval letter received: 5/31/2019 showing approval date of 5/24/2019

Card received: 6/1/2019

Notification of Passport/Visa ready for pick up: June 21, 2016;  Visa in hand: June 22, 2016

Here's some happy news: I woke up to an email confirmation from the NVC! Although they sent the email on the 8th, the accompanying note states that they did receive my stuff on the day I sent it (the 3rd June) and that I should give them 30 days from that date. Phew! One step closer! The confirmation email was also sent to both myself and my wife, so that's still the case :D
