New passport number

Ok so my fiancé just finished his ds160 and now he's trying to complete the steps on US travel docs. They have his old passport number listed from when he applied for a visitors visa a few years back. Now he's renewed his passport since then, and his passport number is different. he can't figure what to do. It won't allow him to change it, and it advises him not to make a new account. Anyone else had this issue before?

Happens quite frequently. Bring both passports to the interview and explain the circumstances.

Thank you. I've been trying to call them to get them to change it, but of course I keep getting hung up on... Go figure lol. This is a much easier solution.

Yes! That's exactly what we ended up doing as well. We sent a copy of the passport. They changed it about 2 days, but we had to follow up with them after they received the copy of the passport for them to actually change it.

That's good. I'll have to update mine as soon as I get my passport. I'm almost done with my checklist. Just FYI police clearance takes 2 weeks. It's better to start with that one. Good luck.

We got our police clearance a week after. It was a fast process for us, thank goodness. We've sent everything off to the embassy. Just waiting on them to contact us with the interview date.

Really! The date on my receipt 14 days after they got my prints :/. Well lucky you. Let us know when the date of the interview. I might send my DS-160 to the embassy while waiting for the clearance.

Yeah my fiancé said it just depends on the police department. I know we got lucky, I've heard from others it can take 7-8 weeks for the police clearance. As long as you have everything else you need for the interview, I see no harm in sending the embassy the DS-160.

They updated our case today, so I'm assuming we will be hearing from them soon with our interview date. I think things are going a bit slow in Saudi now, because of Ramadan. I'm not going to lie, I'm already a nervous wreck over this interview. Lol. I am stressing out!

Cool! Yeah that and people travel after Ramadan for holidays. Usually most embassies get busy during Ramadan, many families apply for tourist visas. I'm guessing your interview date would be somewhere second week to mid of July. I'm stressed out too but I'm trying to keep it together. It's gonna be alright.

Hopefully everything went alright with you , sorry we got busy last month due to Ramadan month. However I've seen you are almost there and waiting patiently for the interview date, as I just mentioned to you earlier no need to be stressed. It will be a piece of cake, the most important your fiancé act well and answer truthfully. Overwhelmingly, the decision will be made before the interview. Confidence is very important too. We wish you all the best guys.

We just got approved last week phew lol, it's a long journey and it's worth it to be patient to be with our lovers anywho , we'd like to ask you guys, what kind of documents did u send for packet 3? if you could interpret how did the process go after the consulate in RYD recieved your case?

Congratulations and good luck to you guys as well. We are still patiently waiting on our interview date which seems to be taking forever. It's so frustrating to be waiting so long. Anyways, we sent in our DS-160 confirmation pages, and 2 passport style photos, as well as a copy of my fiancés passport. After they received our packet 3 we were told to wait 2-3 months for the interview. That's where we're at now.
