Check the processing times for your field office. You should only start worrying when it's past that. Everyone's journey is different and comparing yours to others only will make you sad. Chin up!

I filed a week later. My case hasn't changed at all. Still on fingerprint fee was received. Last updated 7/24/2016. I don't expect my interview be waived cause I'm adjusting from a B2 visa. Who knows, I might get lucky.

OK so I call USCIS to ask about my AOS case for the first time, and the person that took my call was very nice.

She explained each local office has their own processing times and that the Tampa office is processing right now cases from January 23!!! That means they are taking 8 months!!

She said that if my case has taken more than that processing time I should do an Electronic Inquiry.

This means that since I am only about to reach the 5 month waiting period I still need to be patient for 3 more months. Does that sound right to you guys? OMG!!

OMG this whole AOS process is a disaster! For all of you that have doubts or questions about processing time, here is a quick update to my status:

NONE WHATSOEVER!!!!

Approval date for EAD & AP is 8/29

One would think a month and a half is enough time to send out a card, right?! Pffffff....my card hasn't even been produced yet, nor has my SR from 9/29 been assigned to an officer.

I called last week about it, they told me a story to call back in a week or two. I did today and they escalated it again. So here I am....still waiting...

I finally managed to schedule a info pass appointment in Philadelphia. To even think you can get one in NYC...yeah right. Will keep checking though.

So tomorrow is the day. Interview early in the morning 108 miles away and that's the closest. We're also moving across the country in a couple of days. I think my head might fall off. :-/ Hoping and praying we don't forget to take anything with us in the morning. The tree has been reprinted, we're leaving around 06:30 and I have no idea what else. Any words of wisdom?

I've read about people taking piles of paper with them to the interview and all they had to do was have a nice chat with the officer in charge and be approved

I've contacted the senator last week and now someone in the senators office checked my case-status and she found out that USCIS lost the evidence I mailed them in September in response to an RFE

Im so sad. I received my green card last week and today I went to the Social Security office to get my SS card. The lady said my green card is wrong, I almost fainted. TURNS OUT...they put the wrong date in Residence since.

Im so upset...Has this happen to anyone else here? It says i can take up to a year for a replacement.

I'm sorry to hear that....In fact a couple of weeks ago, I read somewhere on the forums someone had the same issue, I remembered the person mentioned that they got an infopass to request a correction.

Hello everyone,

hope everyone is doing well & things are going smooth for you. Once I received my EAD/AP card things got super busy for me - I have two jobs, I just started school and had my family visiting. Anyway, LATE CONGRATULATIONS to all of you that got your GC, EAD/AP or for any positive news that you have received. My husband and I are headed to Memphis, TN early morning for our GC interview. We, luckily, managed to reschedule and thankfully made in just in time before my husband deploys. I will let y'all know how did it go and what was our experience. Hoping for a smooth process.
