Hi again guys,

So my fianceé and I are busy collecting proof of our relationship and are also getting the forms filled out as much as possible and we've now came to a part of the K1 process which is giving us a few questions. The Affidavit of Support (I-134) is the form i'm currently working on and I've taken a look at my taxes and paystubs from the past couple months and I believe I will fall just below the "Poverty" Lines which are set as the standard to provide income for 2 people in my household (My fianceé and I). We plan using my mother or father as a joint sponsor to remedy this issue, now the questions I have are :

1a. Since I am still going to be filling out my own I-134, I realize the categories of income are listed as things such as : Annual income, US Bank Savings, Personal Property, etc., am I allowed to list my car and it's approximate value under Personal Property?

1b. Under Life Insurance, should I list the exact maximum amount provided by the insurance through my job if I were to die? Or should I leave that field as blank?

1c. If I do need to leave a field blank, such as Real Estate and Stocks and Bonds, what would I write in? None? N/A?

2. If I decide that my mother will be the joint sponsor of my fianceé's K1 Visa, which forms do I have them fill out besides the I-134? Do I have them fill out a separate 1-129f and G-325?

3a. How many people should my mother include on HER household capacity?

3b.And does she require a higher amount of income than I do?

3c. Does our income from both of our Affidavits of Support get combined?

4. How would I attach my mother's copy of her I 134 to mine? I need the original correct? A copy will not work for any of these forms?

5. Last but not least, this website https://www.uscis.gov/green-card/green-card-processes-and-procedures/affidavit-support tells me that I do not need to submit the Affidavit of Support until my Fiancee is already here and we are applying for her Adjustment of Status. Is this true? What would you guys recommend? Can I send it anyways?

I'm so sorry for having so many questions but this is for the progress of my relationship and life with the woman I'm madly in love with. I thank you all so much for providing support, you guys make this website one of the most useful things I've ever encountered.

1a - You're only allowed to list vehicles beside your first, so if you have a second or third car, you may list these.

1b - List the amount provided and attach supporting documentation.

1c - I just left these fields blank while preparing my form. You can do that or write "None", as the question applies.

2 - She just needs the I-134 and supporting documentation.

3a - Quoting from USCIS: "Your household size includes you, your dependents, any relatives living with you, and the immigrants you are sponsoring."

3b - Depends on her household size. Check form I-864P.

3c - No, the cosponsor has to qualify by him/herself and his/her household size plus the immigrant.

4 - You need a wet signature, yes. Just place it behind your own form, don't need to overthink it ;)

5 - That site is referring to the I-864 Affidavit of Support, but you need to send the I-134 for the visa process at the embassy. Poverty guidelines are the same for both forms.

No problem, everyone here in VJ understands how you feel. Good luck and a smooth journey! :luv:
