Can you send AOS and IV package before DS-260 is unlocked

Looked at the NVC wiki. If I understand correctly, the DS260 only gets unlocked after both the AOS and IV fees have been paid.

Once you've paid and gotten the bar coded sheets, can you send the AOS and IV packages to the NVC before the DS260 becomes available? Seems like you don't need anything from the DS260 In the IV package...

Just trying to see if I can gain a few days in the NVC process!

Yes you can but they won't process till Ds260 is submitted.

Also I would think its best to send with DS250 cover sheet.

I could be wrong. But that's how I am doing it. Just submitted Ds260 and now submitting IV And AOS package stuck on some questions on i864 due to my tax extension.

Also If you pay IV fees and chose agent call NVC and review your agent form. That will unlock other fee next day or so. And after that fee will unlock DS250. I done all fee and DS251 and DS 260 in 9 days time. You just get to phone and call until you get nice one to help you.

The IV and AOS package is looked at separately from the DS-260. It's in your best interest to send it after the AOS fee is paid. That way if there is an issue they can send you a checklist ASAP or you can get the CC sooner.

Can I send after paying just the AOS fee or do I need to wait until I have paid the IV fee as well?

I think the NVC wiki says you need the barcoded sheet from the IV fee as well, but I could be wrong!!

No you dont. You can send it with the document cover bar code sheet from your welcome to the NVC email. Even when i was going through the process at the NVC you could send it with the AOS bar code cover sheet.

You can send without payment just welcome letter document check list. But remember NVC won't open or process those papers till all fees and DS260 is finish. If you do send it now you may have to call them few times after DS260 submitted to look for your papers and start processing.

I got my next day. And first fee and DS251 was unlocked day after that. And I called to confirm DS261 3 days after and my IV fees was unlocked day after that and then DS260 over all took me 9 days. ( business days ) so 2 weeks I am at at i864 it's fast if u keep on calling them.
