"Well, because The New York Times told us several times that they would make sure that my story that I was telling came across. They promised several times that they would do it accurately. They told me several times and my manager several times that it would not be a hit piece and that my story would come across the way that I was telling it and honestly, and it absolutely was not."

Asked what the reporters got wrong, Brewer Lane said they took her quotes and "put a negative connotation on it."

"They spun it to where it appeared negative. I did not have a negative experience with Donald Trump, and I don't appreciate them making it look like that I was saying that it was a negative experience because it was not," Brewer Lane said.

Co-host Ainsley Earhardt asked to clarify if Brewer Lane knew him well and that they dated for several months.

"That's correct. Yes, and he was never -- he never made me feel like I was being demeaned in any way. He never offended me in any way. He was very gracious. I saw him around all types of people, all types of women. He was very kind, thoughtful, generous, you know. He was a gentleman," Brewer said.

Ah I see, so former girlfriend, talks openly about his demeaning behavior towards her, then mysteriously decides a few days later that while everything written about in the article is factual she doesn't feel demeaned anymore, and then lands multiple interviews on tv and such (which Trump twitter-promoted before deciding to delete them). This doesn't matter of course because Ms Brewer still maintains her account is accurate (despite the conclusions the NYTs draws from it) but Trump, (as also mentioned in the same article) denies her account. In the above article, Trump calls CNN to personally make sure they totally saw his ex-girlfriend on FoxNews having a sudden change of heart at the NYT's calling his demeaning behavior that she still maintains actually happened and that he still disputes, demeaning.

She says she has not spoken with anyone from the campaign about the controversy.

As for Trump personally, "I haven't spoken to him in a long time," she said. "If I know Donald Trump, I'll probably hear from his camp at some point, you know, just to say 'Thank you for your honesty.' ''

By the way, what about all the other women in the article? How do they really feel? Because as much as some would tout the article has been debunked, it hasn't at all. Only that one person is magically and suddenly annoyed that they interpreted chauvinistic behavior as demeaning (not that she expressly said she felt it to be that way originally either). So nothing has been disproven.

What has been proven that it was a made up hit piece .. full of lies.... People Magazine really played up the negative spin on this story which caused lots of negative comments.....Clinton spin machine is working full time .

Just backfired big time . NYT is just full of lies ... this extends to every story they publish.......
