Hi everyone! I was hoping someone could tell me or point me in the right direction of where to look at what documents my fiancé will need from me for his interview?

I am going to visit him in Venezuela in 40 days and was wondering if it would be a good idea to just take any needed documents with me (instead of mailing them as soon as I get back, especially anything that needs to be original)? And which documents will he need originals of?

Any help would be so appreciated. Thanks! :D

Yes, if you read the guide it tells you what forms you need from the foreign fiance. You need number 5, 9, 10 from the list under Assembling the I-129F Package: Checklist.

http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1forms

You can download and print them to take with you.

Also, make sure you collect evidence of your trip there and meeting as well as several pics with family and friends.

Thank you for the response! What confused me (or at least I didn't come to an understanding just from the guide) was if this would be a bad idea since we won't have our NOA2 yet? I wasn't sure if any of these documents needed a specific date? or if like for instance, I brought another letter of intent, signed and date it, would they have a problem with it because I gave it to him so early? And also if I will end up needing to mail things to him anyway? I only ask because mailing things down there is such a pain, so if I could bring them and they be sufficient, that would be very convenient.

Thanks for the help!

We did something similar - I came up to Canada at Christmas (with interview in Feb) and filled in the I-134 & Letter of Intent. Our I-134 was dated about 1.5 months prior to our interview and it didn't seem to be an issue. Since the letter of intent needs to be dated within 30 days of the interview and you don't have your interview date yet, if you don't think you'll be down to Venezuela again before his interview, I would make 1 for each month around when you think the interview will be (which of course can be all over the place, so personally I'd do one for each month over a year span, but I'm neurotic haha). Super worst case, you could send down a new batch to him when you find out the interview date if all other letters are out of date.

Good luck! :)
