Question #11 on i-134 Affadavit of Support

1) For purposes of k1 visa, how do you answer question #11 which asks you to check "intend" or "do not intend" to make specific contributions to support the applicant?

2) Is it still OK to use the current version of the i-134 form even though it expires 2/29/2016?

1. most ppl dont check anything and just put on the line " n/a k1 visa application " or something like that

2. the expire date on the right corner doesnt relate to petitioners using the form , only the bottom right corner and if you look at the uscis website that current edition is fine to use

There is a sample form here on VJ or you can google a sample like I did. I agree with the former post, you can put something like "N/A (current K1 visa application in process)

1) You can check intend OR you can write N/A. Both will work.

2) I was just approved using the "expired" form, so don't worry about that.

The OMB(Office of Management and Budget) expiration date only matters internally for the USCIS. That expiration date has nothing to do with whether or not it will be acceptable for you to use. The edition date is what matters. The accepted edition dates for the forms are listed on the site where the forms can be found and downloaded.

02/19/14. A new edition of this form is coming soon. In the meantime, customers may file using the 02/19/14 edition. We will also accept previous editions.
