Take another i864 to interview?

Hi there, I notice that one of the requirements for interview is an affidavit of support. I already sent one to NVC obviously, so do I take another filled out Form to the interview or just the evidence?

I already have to take 2015 w2s as they weren't available when sending package to nvc.

I would send an email to the unit asking the same question. I asked the same of the Bangkok embassy and they replied if already in the package at some point, no need to send again. I included there e-mail on package submission.

I would have copies of course if something get misplaced or lost.

Did you put your 2015 tax information (total/adjusted gross income) on the one you already sent to NVC? And did you include your 2015 tax return or tax transcript in the package previously? Edited April 28, 2016 by B&Z

The I-864 will be in your file in London. London website https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/family-immigration/applications-processed-by-the-national-visa-center/ says

"You are required to send copies of your documents to NVC and furnish the original on the day of your interview. Note: the original Affidavit of Support, Form I-864 is still required by NVC and will be forwarded to the Immigrant Visa Unit at the Embassy and will be available for the consular officer on the day of your interview. Please review the checklist here. (PDF)"

If your I-864 was signed and submitted to NVC prior to April 15, then 2014 tax return is valid. If you want to take 2015, then make sure you take a COMPLETE tax return which is all forms and schedules in your tax return plus the W2. You mentioned having to take 2015 W2s, but W2 is not a complete tax return.

Hiya thanks alot for the reply. All the info for the last three years plus 2015 was on the i864 so I just need to take the tax return itself to interview. I just got my interview letter today.

So, as far as a full tax return goes.. Is a tax transcript plus the w2 sufficient?

If you are using a tax transcript, you don't need the w-2s.

Never hurts to have as much info and evidence as possible

w2s are useless without the rest of the tax return. They're considered an incomplete tax return. The tax return transcript has ALL of that information on it.

Yes, the tax return transcript has ALL the information that the entire tax return would have, but it's compact and is normally only a few pages, sometimes just 1.
