Hello to all,

this questions was most likely asked before, but my husband will have interview in about a month for AOS, what concrete proof can we bring? We do not have a lease together as we live with parents for now.

Also, will that be a problem if I am no longer at the same job I was when I filled the I-864 to sponsor??

Any advice will be appreciated :)

Thanks

There is a search feature that you can look for previous posts.

A couple search results for AOS interview documents:

If you changed jobs, I would recommend you fill out a new I-684 form with updated details and supporting evidence. Do not mail it, take it with you to the interview. They probably will not ask or need it, but you will be prepared in case they want it.

We simply used the checklist that USCIS provided on the Form I-1797c, Initial Interview Appointment Letter. On that letter is the list starting with: "YOU MUST BRING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS WITH YOU," bring what is stated on the list. We interpreted Line 4, "All documentation establishing your eligibility for Legal Permanent Resident Status," quite literally. We brought every shred of paper/document that we had accumulated on our immigration journey since we initially met. At the interview, the IO asked to see some of our first meeting photos, so it was a good thing that we had brought copies along.

They realize that most couples at this juncture don't have much in the way of marriage bonafide evidence, take in what you have.

YMMV.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Thank u?

They ask for birth certificate for both of us, do i have to translate and bring mine as well even if I will bring my certificate of citizenship?? Do we need to bring my hubby's translated copy again too?? Even if we submitted with initial application? And new support docs and employment letter as well??
