Please l need to know. After my interview, the CO said it was approved and handed over to me a white sheet with circled address for passport pick up. I later found out that am suppose to be given back my original birth certificate

What do l do to get it back. Please l need a response

There is some form or something you can file to ask for it back. Why didn't you have a copy with you?

Although l have the photocopy with me, i understand i will be presenting it along with other documents. Do l send an email tothe embassy

Your documents (including BC) will travel in your visa package and end up with immigration authorities inside the US. You would not usually get them back at any point.

Suggest you go ahead and get additional copies of your BC, since you will need them later in the process and for other purposes in the US as well :-)

The embassy does not send it anywhere, they will put it in the visa package that we hand carry to the US.

Yes they send it to him but he needs to get it before that.

Get an original, you will need it. Get certified translations and copies made.

Yes they send it to him but he needs to get it before that.

He could get a new original and forget about the current one (easiest option). Or he could file the request to the USCIS using the form you linked to upon entry in the US. It's very unlikely he will get it back from the embassy.

I don't know what is right or wrong I'm just trying to give him an option.
