What's next?

Hi everyone

I sent my package on 04/11 got a notification that was received from USPS on the 15th and today I got an email that says: Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS Nebraska Service Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number LIN##$$$$. With the official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) you may visit www.uscis.gov where you can check the status of your case using My Case Status. We suggest you wait until you have received your Form I-797 before checking My Case Status.

So I was wondering if this means that all the documents that I submitted where fine, what's next?

You will only know if all the documents you submitted were fine once the case has been approved.

This is just the acceptance email and your petition is sent to Nebraska.

3-4 months is the waiting time for knowing if your case has been accepted or not

Now the wait begins 5 to 7 months is the norm at Nebraska.

If you haven't read the NVC Wiki which is in dwheels signature above, I suggest reading that a dozen times while you wait so you're well aware of what's required once you get approval. That's what we're all doing
