Hello everyone!

I need help about joint sponsor.

My future husband is in the national guard so he does not meet the income requirement for the visa.

He is also getting benefits from the GI Bill because he served in the military.

The benefits he gets for housing are more than the 125% poverty line, but it can't be taxable so it can't be considered as income.

His brother, who lives a few miles away from him, (his parents live in a different state) will be our joint sponsor, he makes a lot more than enough.

I am scared that something can go wrong with this confusing process, do you think it will look bad if our joint sponsor does not live with him?

Not at all... They don't care where the sponsor lives as long as it's in the states.

Your husbands income requierements are lower then regular civilians Make sure you take that into consideration...they get a small break for there service...

Just because income isn't taxable doesnt mean he can't use it. He certainly can use his GI bill. He just to prove he recieves it.

Also as mentioned if hes active duty he only has to make 100% the guidelines.

Where one lives doesn't count for joint sponsored, as long the person is a USA citizen and permanent resident.
