Hi all.

Really quick question I can't find the answer to.

On the medical it asks if you have ever been hospitalised.

I have been to a&e for various stupid things, do I need to disclose? I have never been required to stay in hospital longer than a few hours.

No, unless they admit you, that is not "being hospitalised"

Admitted is when you go into the hospital proper; it usually, but not always, involved an overnight stay.

So for example, if you had a headache and go to the A&E/ ER, they run some tests, give you painkillers and send you home- not admitted.

If you had a headache and go to the A&E/ ER, they send you to the main hospital for an MRI, or have you stay overnight in case you are having a stroke- admitted.

Okay for me I've been for various stupid reasons, for example when I was 14 for drinking, another time with a broken finger, and another when I had an allergic reaction to some hair day. But I was only in a&e so I guess I am okay as I was not admitted anywhere I was just treated and good to go
