We are just starting the process to submit the I129F for K1 fiance visa. I have to declare the US embassy /. consulate where I want my fiance, who is from Iran, to be interviewed. We want this process to take the least amount of time. So, based on your experience, which embassy is faster in terms of scheduling for interview and the overall processing time? Ankara or Abu Dhabi? Thanks.

Assuming you're talking about a male typically in the middle east males go into a longer AP though anyone can go into it. The extended ap can take anywhere from a couple of days to years.

You don't decide which embassy. Yes I know what Part 2, # 36a & b state, thing is NVC goes by the residence/address listed at the beginning of Part 2 as to which embassy the case file is sent to.

Thank you for your quick response. I agree with you. Abu Dhabi is definitely safer these days! I will probably declare Abu Dhabi on the form. When you say long time, are you saying like 2-3 months or more?

I have a friend in Dubai engaged to US Citizen just had her DS-160 completed around March 2nd and she just had her interview on April 10th in Abou Dhabi. She was approved.

This is if your case is sent to Abou Dhabi!!

Thank you so much for the info. I will definitely choose Abu Dhabi as the interview site for my fiance. Hopefully she won't go through a long AP like typical middle eastern male.

BTW, Does each of us have to write a separate Letter of Intent to maary within 90 days of arrival and date and sign it OR just write one letter on behalf of both of us and both sign the same letter?

So why you suggesting it to me then?

I was just suggesting to him in regards to the letters of intend to marry since you replied to him. It was not meant for you so no need to get all uptight about. Just chill!. I just happened to use the wrong box to post. My apology your majesty.
