Question about vaccination during medical. If my fiance is not up to date on vaccination and they give it to her at medical will she be able to get the visa or have to wait until vaccination series is complete if there is another shot or two required?

Been a long time since i had shots myself so i do not remember all this stuff.

What visa??K-1? Update your timeline please.

Vaccinations is not required for K-1 visa but they are for the AOS and I have seen a lot of people having trouble finding someone in the US there will give them only vaccines they want them to have a full medical.

So if she can get them at her medical that would be good.

My timeline shows its k-1 visa but I'm sort of bad with computers so I'm sure I messed something up.

My fiance is in the Philippines so I'm assuming the medical process is different than in Denmark.

But thank you for the reply. She may not be able to adjust her status until the vaccinations? OK, good to know.

We had to get the vax here cause they refused to do them over there. the US Civil Surgeon we went to didnt really give us a hard time but they did make her redo a tb test which pretty sure they'd check that before letting her over.

Its kinda a racket for the US Civil Surgeons. ...saw some posts on here for much cheaper (older posts) ...we had to pay ~$3-500 I think

Vaccinations are not required for a K-1 visa. They are required for the adjustment of status once in the US. If she needs any vaccinations, they will give them to her at the medical. For Philippines, the vaccinations are already included in the cost of the medical exam, so you won't pay extra.

The vaccination requirements for AOS only require at least one shot in a series.

For most adults, the required vaccinations for AOS are typically MMR, Tdap, and Varicella. The flu shot is also required if it is during flu season. The necessary vaccinations are given during the medical at St. Luke's. Your fiancee will be give a DS-3025 upon completion of the medical, you will make a copy of this for making during AOS (later, once in the USA)
