Lately I've seen cases from VSC where they filed the I-129F in early March and have already been approved. It's been pretty fast lately for K-1 visas. Now for CR-1/IR-1 type of visas, they've been taking their sweet old time with those.

Now here is the thing, their applications have been approved within weeks. The process between NVC and the embassy is another story, depending on where you're from.

CR-1

02/05/07 - I-130 sent to NSC

05/03/07 - NOA2

05/10/07 - NVC receives petition, case # assigned

08/08/07 - Case Complete

09/27/07 - Interview, visa granted

10/02/07 - POE

11/16/07 - Received green card and Welcome to America letter in the mail

Removing Conditions

07/06/09 - I-751 sent to CSC

08/14/09 - Biometrics

09/27/09 - Approved

10/01/09 - Received 10 year green card

U.S. Citizenship

03/30/11 - N-400 sent via Priority Mail w/ delivery confirmation

05/12/11 - Biometrics

07/20/11 - Interview - passed

07/20/11 - Oath ceremony - same day as interview

Vermont is extremely fast on approvals as long as the correct paperwork is filed (refer to the guides) as far as the timeline from NOA-2 thru the visa approval process goes you may want to do a timeline search for approved visas in Romania...

Good luck in your journey

I agree, you never know when they will approve your petition. My finace will send everything tommorow (Texas SC), we already think that I will get my visa probably only in September. Reading all this timelines we understood that we will need 6 months minimum. Am I right?

Don't worry about timelines.. I was looking at mine Center (Texas) and as I understood to get NOA2 will take max 3 months. And after everything will depend on you- I mean how long you will collect all necessary documents for your Consulate.

Believe on those timelines and be happy! Processes sent to Vermont are really fast! They usually take 3-4 months.

I know lots of people who got their K1, from VSC, in 3 months.

My advise is to believe the timelines, but realize that sometimes certain peoples get delayed for no known reason. When this happens, it frustrates because the expectation is that the process will be just like everyone else. Patience is a virtue in this process.

Patience is required for this process.

I would definately believe the timelines you read, I see people on here all the time getting visas fast, that went through VSC. But you should keep in mind everyone is different. You can probably count on getting an approval very soon. Once it goes to the NVC, it should not stay there longer then a week. At least that is what I was told when I called the NVC, they asked me what kind of petition was I filling, I told them K1. They said K1 petitions get sent out to the embassy in no longer then a week. And my petition was not there but a couple days before they sent it to Ghana. I wish you the best of luck and a speedy visa.
