Hi everyone,

I'm the beneficiary-to-be living in my home country (Japan) at the moment, and my fiance is in the U.S. We are filing for K-1 visa and putting together I-129f packet right now.

I went to college in the U.S. and used to have F-1 visa as well as OPT (and an EAD card). These are all expired now and I'm (as stated above) back in my home country.

Is it generally advisable/necessary to include the documents from the previous visa? Or does it not matter?

I'd really appreciate it if someone can answer my question.

Thank you so much!

Thank you for the feedback, you two! :)

We did meet right before I graduated and started our relationship while I was on OPT.

I think the Question 15 in Part 2 is really for a beneficiary who is "currently" in the U.S., which I am not... I guess I might simply just attach a copy of my F-1 visa page on the passport and my EAD card.

Thanks again!

We just answered the questions on the forms as they came up. It was not until the DS-160 step that I actively mentioned a previous visa (due to a misunderstanding on my part, I thought I might have overstayed back in 1995. turned out to be not the case).

In the original I-129F package we did include a copy of my last B1/B2 visa. This due to the fact that my entry stamp was right next to it. I needed the stamp to show having met in person.

The rest of the list of visas (About 4 in total) I never produced paperwork for, nor was I asked about them.
