Can anyone who has recently had their Citizenship interview explain to me the reading and writing test? Specifically the questions you were asked (just so I can get an idea before my interview). Or direct me to a link with uscis specific interview questions. The uscis site is perfectly clear on the civics and history questions but not on English reading/writing.

Thanks!

hi

it's only one sentence, the officer will orally dictate a question for you to write, the vocabulary is usually related to the 100 questions

and you have to write the answer

that's it

You can find the vocab online on the USCIS page. Try googling it.

Here, I googled that for you:

From the way you wrote your post, I don't think you have to worry about that part of the test. Besides, if you are from Ireland, I think English is one of its commonly used languages.

Sure, English is the second language. Im just curiius as to what type of questions are asked during this part of the test.

From what I gather they may ask you to write something like ......'George Washington is the Father of the United States' or 'Independence Day is in July'.

Or similarly read something like the above 2 examples.

I know, not difficult but just wanting to know from recent interviewees?
