I'm a USC and I filed for both my parents in July and they got approved by the USCIS in December, right now we are at the NVC stage and I've a few questions since their directions seem rather confusing:

1- The AOS (affidavit of support) fees are $120. Does this mean for BOTH? Or EACH parent needs to pay $120? (Are both on the same affidavit?)

2- They say step 3 is to fill out the visa form, but I couldn't access it, do they let me access it after I pay?

Thank you all a bunch.

For each one of your parents will have a separate Case at the NVC, you will need to pay AOS for each one of them and the CHOICE OF ADDRESS & AGENT (DS-261) and after you do the previous steps by couple days you will see on the website the DS-260 IV Application will become available for you to pay the fees and submitting

Are you sure? Cause it only let me pay once for the AOS and it said this:

  • If you are a U.S. citizen with petitions for your unmarried son(s), unmarried daughter(s), and/or parent(s) also in process at the National Visa Center, you only need to submit one AOS Fee for this case and all Related Cases.
Related Cases

(MY NAME), the Petitioner of this case who is a US Citizen, has paid the AOS fee for a related petition of another unmarried son, unmarried daughter, and/or parent which is also in process at the National Visa Center. Payment on the related petition also satisfies the AOS fee for this petition.

Aos fee is per petitioner not beneficiary. You pay 1 AOS fee for both parents.

hi

no, the aos if only paid once, since they are the same family group, but you must submit one i864 per parent

the DS260 is paid separately, one for each one

Thank you, this makes sense!

Very helpful, thank you!

The DS-260 will be accessed once the fees are processed right?
