My fiance's household book states that she was born in a rural area of vietnam but was actually born in HCMC. We are worried about what will happen if we schedule the interview now. We are trying to get it fixed but not sure yet if we can. Not sure how serious government clerical errors are in the process ive heard they happen often. thanks for your time and replies in advanced.

My fiancee says this is probably insignificant. She (fiancee) had paperwork riddled with mistakes - she, too, is from rural Vietnam. My recent interview experience indicates that the immigration officials are concerned with outright fraud, not a few mistakes. If they have a good idea where your fiancee has lived/worked for the last five years, then you are probably OK. U.S. immigration folks know that Vietnamese paperwork is wholly inaccurate and full of mistakes. You'll be OK.
