Waiting.... Post IV and AOS package being sent out

Hi VJ Friends,

I sent out my AOS and IV Package mid-January. NVC sent me a letter stating to give them 30 days to review the package.

Is there a way I can check online when the case is completed?

How long does it take usually to receive your interview date?

Do I choose which date?

Apparently when case is complete, all statuses on your online portal turn to n/a. Then call them to confirm.

In the CEAC site, the AOS Fee will change from PAID to N/A. That means CC ?

You can check online at https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/. Under Immigrant Visa.

The time to receive an interview date varies. First you allow up to 30 days before they look at your case, then they go through your case and say if it is approved or you receive an RFE. So the time can be anywhere between 30 days or more. Let's just say it is 30 days .... then they will send your case to the embassy where, if it is anything like the K-1 Visa process, the embassy will schedule you an interview date. They can take also around 30 days or more (sometimes less) to schedule an interview and then the interview date would be like 3-5 weeks out from that time.

You do not choose a date.
