Hi all! So frustrated...... I can slap USCIS!!!! Here is our story. We were scheduled to have my husband's AOS interview 12/17 but the genius' cancelled it. well, even online to date still says that as of 11/22. Anyhow, with no status updates I checked the mail and a darn letter came from freaking IDAHO application support center??!!! how the heck did our papers get to ID and why???!!! ugghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Then, says he needs to submit a copy of his original birth certificate in English (He did this already idiots duh! and what language would it be in he's British!!!!) Also, says he needs to submit medical examination form I-693 and supplemental form I-693 immunizations.... hello... did they not get that when they took that huge packet from him when he entered the country that SHOULD have been filed to USCIS? someone please help me understand so that he can get this done. luckily, he is traveling in England right now so he can hopefully get it done there and it would be MUCH cheaper than over here in the U.S. He is traveling on his adv parole. Then they have the nerve to say has to be submitted within 30 days... smh!

Your K1 file is not your Adjustment of Status file. New process, new documents required. Some will be the same as the K1.

The letter you received is made up of generic statements that include things such as the translation reminder.

Often times submitting the vaccination supplement is enough when filing for Adjustment of Status. That would not have been in the sealed envelope.

USCIS sends files to centers all around the country to even out the workload so files don't sit too long at very busy centers. Don't sweat where it's being processed, be glad that you are in the mix.

30 days seems right for the RFE, it keeps the file moving rather than waiting for you to respond. How is that "nervy"?

Sounds like you need to read the Guides.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

His original vaccination page would have been in the packet turned in along with the other pages of his medical report. But sounds like maybe it didn't make it to Idaho. He will need another medical done by a Civil Surgeon in the US who will fill out a Form I-693. Nobody in England can do it.

If he was already scheduled to interview, I'm kinda puzzled about Idaho as well. Maybe they decided no interview after all.

Thanks Nick-Nich which, under normal guidelines K-1 is not required to have an interview and if so, just for their annual quota records or what have you or training purposes . I know he got the I 693 immunization record filled out because he said he watched the lady do it . Of course , USCIS epic fail with everything so, the left hand as always never alerts the right hand when to work together .... Stupiditis. Now, what makes me angry is we filled in September everything was approved blah blah blah they cancelled his appointment for interview back in November as his interview was 12/17 so now, here we are February yes his original medical expired bc you don't need one if one was done overseas and you file within one year. He did his medical last January I believe so, thanks to them it has expired and yes, a new one is necessary.... Again , stupiditis they drag their foot, forget to do things lose them....

Thanks anh map for your response earlier as well.
