Be assured that NVC will schedule the immigrant visa interview for you and you will receive the notification from NVC. It is after their scheduling that NVC will ship the case file to Lagos. This EP quick processing phenomenon just started happening in December. Before that it was about 45 days and more. Glad they are getting their act together. Now for the rest of us. They aren't rolling out the countries like they said they would. It's been a wile since they have added anyone else.

We were able to EP since my husbands interview will also be in Montreal. Our scan date was January 22nd, CC on February 2nd and we received our interview date on February 10th. Interview is March 24th. It moved pretty quick at NVC.

Thanks! I feel like I'll be holding my breath for the next 12 hours until my husband calls. Me to tell me we are approved! It's so difficult to keep from being nervous. I can't think of why anything would go wrong so I am very hopeful!

Hello all, for our case we were instructed by the embassy that we need to show proof of an intent to re-establich domicile in the U.S., the dreaded 221(g). While we have taken most of the steps in terms of applying to jobs, and making a considerable money transfer to our U.S. bank account, as well as providing information such as driver's license etc., we still have a sticking point of showing proof of where we're going to live when we get there.

We made plans to stay with our joint sponsor for the short term, upon our arrival, until we find a place of our own and move into it. In order to show this to the embassy I've read around that we can get a letter from him stating that we have made such arrangements.

Does anyone have (or can at least point me to) a sample letter as such. We're not really sure what kind of (or how much) information it should include, and how detailed it should be. Should it be an official rental agreement, even though he doesn't plan to charge us for staying with him? Are there any specific points that we have to make in this letter? Does the letter need to be notarized?

Your help as always is immensely appreciated.

Doesn't have to be anything formal just a Who they are the address if they want to say you paying rent great not needed. I have seen some go to the office supply store and get a lease document and just fill that in.

I have just asked my wife to mail me all the papers she have with her add. in USA.

And copy of SSN and Drivers license.

When we applied she was living in DK but she moved back in Dec so with us there has been a big change and i don´t think i need much more.

I also have a letter from my Join sponsor telling that we will be living there until i get a job and we can find a good place to live and a good school for my kids.

What time is the appointment and what is your time zone? I am just curious because Amsterdam is 6 hours ahead of EST zone.

That tracking does not play any roll at this point, we all know their package has been there for awhile because of the expedite.

But I am trying to retask one of my satellites to target

I checked last night just for grants and it was not picked up yet. I will check today at noon again. Trust me as soon as I know you will too.

I knew NVC was closed but I thought they may have a drop box or something for DHL, but I guess not.
