Affidavit of Support Help! Fiance Self Employed

Hi Everyone,

My finance is self employed and semi-retired so he is not above the poverty line but has assets. He will be above the poverty line this year but has not yet filed his taxes and the interview came way before we thought it would. I lined up his sister to send me an I 134 just in case and I personally have a healthy Net Worth statement from my bank. I also sent in the 864 with our application and have copies of my tax return from Canada as I make a good living.

He does not have pay stubs since he is self employed...I'm worried sick. Any advice for me? Will they deny me at this point?

Find a co sponsor. Your tax return has no affect on the situation whatsoever

Thanks TBW! I did get one just in case....is it alright that she scanned and emailed it to me and I printed it off?

You really should have an original signature on the I-134.

But since it's an I-134 not an I-864 you may get away with it. Get her to courier one up to you anyhow in case.

oh no...there is a massive snow storm right now....I don't know if she can get out. What about the 864,,,the original was sent in with my package...I have the copy only...

I have read that there is no limit, however, I would think that having a large amount of cosponsors might make the application weaker in relations to becoming a public charge.

You may have 1 joint sponsor. They may have more than 1 household member but you can only have 1 joint sponsor.
