Little update on my situation. I am currently in Sabah, Malaysia visiting with her. I have been here for a little over a month. Things are great, and we would love to pursue this. I will not be back to the states for another month. Her situation is complicated (at least in my mind). Like i said she is a citizen of the Philippines but here in Sabah for last 7years or so working with a work visa. So some of my questions are as follows: Do we have the choice to file for k-1 visa through the embassy here in Malaysia or the Philippines? Also i know that she will have to get the NBI clearance at some point. With her work schedule it will be tough to travel to Philippines to many times, but she is willing to do this. She already got a police clearance when she left the Philippines to come to Malaysia, but i know this doesn't really matter. So i am trying to figure out if it would be easier for us to do this through Malaysia or the Philippines. Sounds like she would have to travel to the Philippines to receive the NBI clearance, then come back. Do you have to have the medical evaluation done in the country you file through? She also has to ask for her original passport from her employer a month in advance to travel. Her passport doesn't allow her to travel directly to Kuala Lumpur. She says she would have to travel to the Philippines first, then to KL. I left my seasonal job when i came here, of course when i get home i have the option to be employed full time,( not making tons of money) but from what i see i would be able to qualify to support her and I on it. If not i also have a parent willing to be a co-sponsor. He makes enough to qualify for 4 people with no problem. So like i said this is very complicated to me, and i really just need some advice. I'm sure i have more questions but right now i am kind of frustrated at the situation. I have found that i am going to get the most honest and accurate real life advice here compared to any other site or search. thank you very much for any help offered. I don't know exactly how i should file the k-1, easier in Malaysia or Philippines with the situation we have. thanks again

Another question maybe someone would be willing to help with

While I am here with her, what documents, papers etc would be a good idea to get now before i go back home in a month? I know i will need a letter from her stating her willingness to marry correct? Is there anything else i could get while i'm here that would help once i get home?

Thanks again for any information.
