Hello,

My son and I will be leaving on Monday. He is just 2 years old. Since i am the mother, i am correct in saying that i wouldnt need a permit from dswd for my son, right? I believe it only applies if the child (minor) is leaving with the father alone, in that case, the father needs to secure a consent from the mother saying she is allowing her child to travel out of the country with the father.

Appreciate all ur responses

Hi. You will not need a travel clearance since you are the mother.

Who does not need a DSWD Travel Clearance to leave the Philippines?

A Filipino minor traveling with either parent, with his or her solo parent or legal guardian;

A Filipino minor whose parents are in the Foreign Service

A Filipino minor who holds a temporary or permanent resident visa of another country and is rejoining the parents in that country

A child holding a foreign passport

You are good to go, don't need anything.
