Day 40 today and no CC. Scan date 12/02.

I´ll call NVC when it´s 7am there because I´m afraid we might have a Checklist :(

Right now, I absolutely hate weekends and also the time change between countries :clock::clock::clock::clock::clock::clock::clock:

Don't worry. My story;

Ncv recieved documents: 10/19

Checklist request: 12/01 ( My attorney talked on the phone and sent all the cheklist documents (military document and spouse domicile) by email and mail. My attorney told me my case proceeds smoothly and she doesn't expect any other checklist. )

Nvc recieved documents: 12/4

so I think we will get CC in this week.

I don't want to ask my lawyer to talk to them again just wait and see.

HI Guys,

Is your scan date always the date that your tracking shows that the package was received? or is it possible for NVC to scan your package and give u a scan day a couple of days after it was delivered?

thanks,

I am surprised that you got a checklist when you had an attorney helping you out with your case.

Good luck, hope you'll get your CC soon.

I'm surprised also :) but since I live in another country with my spouse and had a complicated case including 2 year HRR I didn't want to deal with that bymyself. I don't know it happened but there is nothing so much to do.:)

Gotcha. Yeah I had the same 2 year HRR myself after doing an AIESEC (J1) internship in the U.S.

Wouldn't it be nice if immigration attorneys had customer satisfaction guarantee ?

I should just shut my mouth.

When they get the mail/e-mail and its enter in to the system, then they cant change it.

But if you sent in papers in two packets not that same, then there can be 2 dates and the last one counts.

That can also change if you get a Checklist.

To be honest still I trust my attorney since she has a good reputation and excellent customer reviews on her. My case was really complicated because of 2HRR and 2 year marriage (CR1 vs IR1) . Application timelines my job etc. Things can happen even with a great attorney. Thanks God that my wife is with me. I can't imagine being seperate and waiting for that.

We´ve sent both packages together, on Dec. 30th. Then we´ve got one email on 12/07 stating that they received our docs on 02/12. After that, on Dec. 31st, we received the same exact email with the same scan date but over the phone today the attendant said that our scan date is actually 07/12 and no other attendant has said this before. I´ve never heard of NVC changing scan dates but anyways.

I wanted to call back and ask why but my husband said to drop it for now and wait until the 18th as we were told. The problem is that this whole changing the scan date thing is bugging me to the point I can´t even concentrate on work.

We didn´t do eletronic filing because we got afraid it would take longer but now we see that we should have

If you sent in the packages the 30th Dec, you scandate cant be 12/07 or 12/02 it must be the welcome letter you got there.

Call them up, ask them WHEN did you receive the papers etc.

Then you will know more.

EDIT: Send IV Package : 2015-11-30 - So the dates can be right. We had to sent it in to two diff. places or thats what it said on my cover sheets.

Both emails we´ve received from NVC Inquiry says that the documents were received on Dec. 2nd. We didn´t know where to adress the packages to DR or MR so we did both to DR. We may have messed things up right there, I´m guessing.
