Hi, Can someone please help me. I filed an Immigration petition for my wife(Married one year ago) and she is going to attend the interview in the month of January'2016 so want to take experts advice before the interview. I had a Girl Friend(US Citizen) few years back, Me and my ex GF had a son(born out of wedlock) and we both were never married and never went to the court for the custody but we both came to an agreement for the child support and visitation, my son stays with her mother and I get to see him every other weekend and I pay the child support(Every Month Bank Transactions) and buy all his necessaries so can someone please advice me what kind of documentation does my wife need to take to interview and what kind of questions we can expect from the visa officer. I have all the child support checks and the photos of my son when he is with me.

I don't see what you having a child with someone else has to do with your current interview situation. Your wife knows you have a son that all that matters. They may ask her her does she know of him. But showing child support and all that why would you need that or are you petitioning the child also. Guess I am confused why this is a concern for you.

Your wife doesn't need anything about the child at the interview its not about your child its about your relationship with each other. You have to prove bonafide relationship of your marriage.

As Dwheels stated, this isn't an issue. As long as you are counting your child on the I-864 and your wife is aware of your child (perhaps theyve met as well) then it isn't a big deal.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I am in a assumption that the visa officer might what to see how is the relationship between me and my son so thats the reason I was making sure with you guys. My son is an US Citizen and my wife knows everything about my son.

Thanks a lot for your reply, yes I counted him in the I-864 and we are good with the AOS, as my wife never visited me to the states so she never got a chance to see him but she has saw him via video call.
