NVC expedite requested. Send documents now or wait for response?

I sent an email request for NVC expedite today (both medical and financial reasons). We have paid all of our fees. We have not yet completed the DS-260 or sent in our AOS & IV packages.

Should we wait for a response about the expedite before doing anything else, or should we continue? I've read several pages of search results on VJ forums about NVC expedite and it seems that if you send your documents before the expedite is approved then you really save no time at all. Is this correct?

Amsterdam is a low fraud, low volume consulate, I believe, so I'm hoping to get a response quickly. I just don't want to shoot myself in the foot if I get an approval for the expedite.

Any knowledge that would help me make an informed decision is welcome!

You carry on as you would normally. Finacial is unusual and a tough sell, Medical is more factual.

I'm hopeful that our case is compelling on the financial issue. I recently had to quit a job (for reasons I listed in the email that were unavoidable) and my husband has an income from a private pension that will continue for the rest of his life. With 2 residences our expenses are much greater than they will be when he arrives. Since he is bringing guaranteed income with him and my financial situation has recently become difficult (to impossible) to maintain essentials for my family I'm hoping it makes sense to a CO.

The other reason is medical. The recent diagnosis of a medical condition that makes activity difficult and will continue to worsen with time.

There are more details included in the email request but I don't feel comfortable sharing everything here.

Anyone think that I have a chance? I know I'll probably find out before too long, but I'm always looking for answers... Trying to measure my chances and possible outcomes.

Yes, as far as I could tell there was little risk and possibly a great reward if approved. So I tried. As far as I know if denied it doesn't affect our case at the NVC. Right?

I think you should wait for a response before Sendíng The documents. I received My expedite response within one week.

I'm a little worried now. I asked another vj'er with an approved expedite and they told me about the evidence they sent. I didn't send any evidence because I was under the impression that attachments weren't allowed because of virus threat.

Will they consider my request without evidence? Of they need evidence will they request it, or just deny? I can easily get supporting documents for my reasons... Can I request again with evidence if they deny???

I'm worried now.

Just wanted to update. Expedite approved Dec 31! Even With Christmas it was only just over a week of "working days"!
