My timeline should be up to date. In any event, I got both hardcopy NOA1 and NOA2 in the post to Ireland. I'd say 8-10 days after the actual notice issue - which is normal standard postal time from the US to here.

I'd say if you haven't heard from USCIS that should be your first phone call. No point ringing NVC until your sure it's cleared USCIS first.

Alright, thank you. I'm sorry I should have checked your timeline. Just getting a little anxious in my own wait I guess. I'm surprised at how quickly your I-130 was accepted. I'm glad to hear things are moving along nicely for you.

Good luck to everyone!

No problem. Stay patient and positive, as long as you have the visa in the passport by the end of the process, that's all that matters.

Thanks. I'll give them a call tomorrow. I haven't received NOA2 email. Just that my case was approved when I logged in and checked my case at the USCIS. The address they were suppose to send it was abroad. I got my first NOA in the mail January 6th. It was approved later on but I haven't received an email of approval. Just the USCIS case check told me so. Does that count as NOA2?

And I believe I need the hardcopy for my approval for the NVC or consulate, right?

Wait I'm confused I thought you said you never received anything even your NOA1 hardcopy in a post above.

But here you said you got it in the mail on the 6th? or maybe you meant email? I'm asking cause if you got NOA1 hardcopy then your address is correct, cause I don't believe USCIS addresses change by themselves, although I suppose I could be wrong. You know technology or Artificial Intelligence these days :D

The NOAs are only for your information. The NOA2 is good to have so you can verify that its going to get processed at the consulate you want. Its also got your wife Alien nuber on it. You won't need it for NVC they will get all your stuff but keep them cause you may need them for the Adjustment of status and/or removal of conditions stages in the US.

Actually I suppose the NOA1 and NOA2 would be good to give your wife for the consulate interview. Probably there you want to arm her with as much info as possible, if for nothing than making her feel comfortable that she's ready.

Just called NVC. Not only were they able to confirm receipt of my file from USCIS but the helpful guy on the phone was able to tell me my case number and invoice number. He also took my email address.

My case was approved at USCIS on 6 Jan 2016 from CSC so I would suggest anyone in the same boat to give NVC a ring.

Wow that's good news! You can finally start the NVC process. I called NVC today too and they told me that our case arrived in their office on Feb 4 but no case number and IIN yet.

Yeah I meant email. I received NOA1 in the email saying I will receive the hardcopy in 7-10 days. I called them after those days passed. They said since I live abroad it would take longer and if I didn't receive it by the 19th I believe, for me to call them. So I didn't receive any hard copies and no notification of approval in the email.

Right. Technology can be something.... Makes me hesitant to do electronic processing through the NVC lol. But thanks. I hope I get something later on. At least from NVC.

Looky and Reg thank you so so much for your supportive words :) it really made me feel good and I agree with all you guys said. At least we're in this together and it's very good to know you're not alone (: you guys are so kind and helpful, thank you again... I pray for all of us, not just for myself. Hopefully time passes fast...

Btw I'm at CSC too, Reg. But haven't heard anything yet, I feel you :P

And Looky I appreciate how patient, positive and helpful you are!

Fatigo you are quite welcome, and thank you for your kind words :) Being positive is the only way to go. Life will always be throwing slings and arrows at you. Just accept it and prepare yourself for the worst and hope for the best, is what I say. That way nothing takes you by surprise and you can just sit back, relax and watch the world go round! :P

I like passing along what I've learned and also it helps to take my mind off of this waiting and waiting! :pop:

Yes, mine went straight to Nebraska.

You can look for timelines similar to yours here: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list.php?cfl=&op3=5&op5=&op6=All

Select the country and your service center so that you'll have an idea of your normal processing time. Some (but not all) from Nebraska gets the approval pretty fast. I hope you get your approval soon! :)
