where to send EAD appl. (after I-485 was filed)?

Hi all!

I want to help a friend that came in the USA on a K1 visa. His timeline:

Dec 18/2006 - entered USA

Dec 22/2006 - marriage

Feb 12/2007 - I-485 sent to Chicago lockbox

Feb 26/2007 - assigned case # MSCxxxxxxxxxx, that is Missouri Service Center

March 1/2007 - fingerprints for AOS scheduled on March 20/2007

He wants to apply for EAD but not sure where to send the I-765 application. The I-765 instructions state to send at the same Service Center where I-485 was sent, meaning Chicago, but now the application is in Missouri.

Can somebody help and tell where to send the EAD application? If Missouri, which is the correct address?

May 12/05 - Packet 3 (second one, the first was lost in the mail)

May 19/05 - Police certificate (RCMP London, ON)

May 25/05 - Medical in Toronto (dr. Seiden)

July 26/05 - Interview in Montreal (successful)

Aug. 15/05 - Visa and the brown envelope in hand

Sept. 28/05 - Moved to the U.S.A. (Ambassador Bridge (Detroit) POE, asked for and got temp. EAD stamp on I-94)

Oct. 6/05 - Civil wedding ceremony

Oct. 8/05 - Religious wedding ceremony

Oct. 13/05 - Sent AOS/EAD/AP

Oct. 14/05 - Applied for SSN

Oct. 22/05 - Received SSN card in the mail

Oct. 24/05 - NOA for AP received (issued Oct. 21)

Oct. 25/05 - NOA's for AOS/EAD received (issued Oct. 21)

Nov. 4/05 - Appointment letter for AOS fingerprints/bio for Nov. 15/2005

Nov. 15/05 - Fingerprints/bio taken for AOS and EAD

Dec. 19/05 - EAD/AP approved

Dec. 27/05 - Received EAD card/AP

Jan. 28/06 - Appointment letter for AOS interview (set on March 15, 2006)

Can't the I-765 be filed online now? Maybe a bit quicker response? I.e. Not waiting for the mail to deliver. Only a couple days difference, but... every little bit helps!

2005-08-10: Met Natalia and fell in love. Too bad she didn't.

2006-01-13: Married. Biggest mistake of my life.

2006-03-07: Began the I-130/I-129F process.

2006-11-01: POE - JFK / Home in Austin!

2006-11-15: She hits me and continues pattern of abuse.

2006-11-16: I filed for divorce.

2006-11-17: Wife is served divorce papers; she and daughter return to Russia.

2007-12-08: She returns to Russia "for the holidays" (lied to lawyers and court).

[many more ups and downs during this time period - mostly downs]

2008-03-26: File for bankruptcy.

2008-07-30: Bankruptcy finalized.

2008-08-27: Divorce final. Started piecing my life back together.

Disclaimer: I'm just a guy who married for love, but she didn't! All she wants is money and a green card.

I think *grabs the forms instruction*

Family-based adjustment applicant --©(9). File your EAD application with a copy of the receipt notice or other evidence that your Form I-485, application for permanent residence, is pending. You may file Form I-765 together with your Form I-485.

IF you look for an address for ©(9) you will not find, ergo send to Chicago.

we are filing them together...soon, I hope!

K-1 timeline

05/03/06: NOA1

06/29/06: IMBRA RFE Received

07/28/06: NOA2 received in the mail!

10/06/06: Interview

02/12/07: Olga arrived

02/19/07: Marc and Olga marry

02/20/07: DISNEYLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AOS Timeline

03/29/07: NOA1

04/02/07: Notice of biometrics appointment

04/14/07: Biometrics appointment

07/10/07: AOS Interview - Passed.

Done with USCIS until 2009!

More likely a bit slower processing. The I-765 filed online goes nowhere until the applicant submits the required supporting documentation by post and the USCIS is able to match the documentation to the application. It's easier for them when everything arrives already together as a complete package.
