Hi there!

First time here - We are about to file our AOS - I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131...all required docs are ready to go but have a question regarding how to organize it all due to that fact that it is for my spouse and for our 2 children aged 11 &14.

Do I package it all together or do I have it in three separate envelopes ? I-485 instructions state: "The Form I-485 for a child age 13 or younger is filed in the same envelope of at least one parent " But is that applicable for concurrent filing ??

Also it doesn't state anywhere "HOW" they want a signature for a minor ....sometimes just the parents signing if fine or do you need to write next to it " Parent of Sally Smith"

Anyone experienced with this?

I may be sweating the small stuff ...

Thanks

Moved from AOS/Family Based Visas to AOS/Work, Student, & Tourist Visas forum. Concurrent filing of an I-130 and I-485 begins the AOS process from one of the aforementioned visas.

Do I package it all together or do I have it in three separate envelopes ? I-485 instructions state: "The Form I-485 for a child age 13 or younger is filed in the same envelope of at least one parent " But is that applicable for concurrent filing ?? See below, mark them as indicated below

Also it doesn't state anywhere "HOW" they want a signature for a minor ....sometimes just the parents signing if fine or do you need to write next to it " Parent of Sally Smith" See below

Anyone experienced with this? Yep,I did something similar with my wife and stepson.

I may be sweating the small stuff ... Read and google search can be your friend.

Thanks

A parent can sign their name, then indicate (Parent), for children under 14. http://www.uscis.gov/forms/signature-requirements-uscis-forms

Package each person's applications, etc. in a separate manila envelope and then place all of the persons manila envelopes in a single appropriate mailing container. Refer to USCIS mailing instructions: http://www.uscis.gov/forms/forms-and-fees/general-tips-assembling-applications-mailing

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)
